What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is an integrated system of medicine, which is very different to conventional, allopathic medicine. Whereas conventional medicine focuses on suppressing unwanted symptoms, homeopathy seeks to find the underlying imbalance that caused the symptoms to appear in the first place. It goes to the very root of the problem, if you will. Addressing this imbalance using homeopathic remedies stimulates your body’s natural defences, leading you back to health and well-being in a much more gentle and permanent way.

Homeopathy is holistic medicine. Which means a homeopath does not differentiate between physical, mental and emotional symptoms – they are all equally valid and important. A homeopath listens to your whole story and treats you as a whole person, rather than prescribing on isolated symptoms or diagnoses.

Homeopathy is individualised medicine. This individualised approach means there is no single remedy for a headache, stomach upset, cold or flu. Instead your homeopath will ask what is particular about your complaint: when does it come on, what does it feel like, what makes it better/worse, how is your mood, your appetite, your energy levels? This detailed information helps your homeopath find the single best remedy that helps you – and no other.

Will homeopathy work for me?

Sounds good, but are you wondering whether homeopathy can help you personally?

I’m always happy to talk on the phone (old-school telephone, Skype, FaceTime) or meet in person before you commit to a consultation.

This gives you the chance to ask your questions and find out whether homeopathy is right for you. It’s also a good way for us to get to know each other, without any obligation on your part.
